What to Do with Old Stuff


  1. Batteries: recycle at an approved place, otherwise they can harm the environment (day 12)
  2. Bedsheets (double): donate to an animal rescue society or shelter (day 2)

  4. Books: donate to AAUW booksale especially if your mom has been volunteering there for 40 years or more (day 13)
  5. Bottle opener (longhorn): put on the free table at work (day 3)
  6. Bridesmaid's dresses: give to church fashion show (day 9)
  7. CDs and DVDs: take them to Recycle Ann Arbor (day 21)
  8. Carbon copies of checks: even though they have no identifying account information, feel too nervous to recycle in the regular bin. Take to work and shred (day 32)
  9. Cargo hold cover for 2002 Subaru: advertise on Freecycle and eventually throw in trash (day 46)
